“ Guaranteed good southern cooking. Some of the biggest pancakes in the Triangle and the BEST country ham, egg, and cheese sandwich. No frills but lots of charm. The staff wear overalls and the whole restaurant is bright from the windows, as well as the light and fun decor. Lots of space so perfect for a big group - only caveat is everyone in your party has to be there to get sat and they don't take reservations. Be mindful if you are going on a weekend morning, you may be waiting for a little bit. It's right beside the NC Farmer's Market so you can take a stroll after your big breakfast and maybe find a fresh bouquet of flowers to take home. ”
“ This is a must for those that like Breakfast!! Very casual no reservations needed. Old school! They start you off with some warm biscuits that are huge! Add some Blackstrap Molasses on one! I got Hot Chocolate with whipped cream to start off with. Then got 2 eggs over medium cheese grits and pork tenderloin. Soooo good! Wife got a Country Ham Biscuit, huge with a lot of ham. Grand Daughter got Micky Mouse Pancakes with Cheesy Eggs. Service was Awesome! Very kid friendly! After you eat, walk around the Farmers Market! ”
“ Had breakfast here twice because it was so good. Biscuits are home made just like mama's . Buttery fluffy and a good size . The link sausage is spot on Carolina fresh sausage. Eggs were cooked perfectly and fresh as well. Sawmill grave was good. The atmosphere is open and welcoming and the service was top drawer. They are friendly and welcoming. Prices are in line. Plenty of convenient parking. This is a must stop for breakfast. ”
“ I love the State Farmers Market Restaurant! Talk about the perfect place to get wonderful home-cooked food at an even more wonderful price. When you're here it does feel like you're family. The staff is so welcoming and patient! This is the perfect place to take family or friends from out of town for an authentic North Carolina experience. The building itself is right next to the State Farmer's market with plenty of parking onsite. I got the fried chicken with a side of mac and cheese and collards. The chicken was perfectly cooked. What's great about this place is that it's definitely a great value. You get a lot of great food for a reasonable price. The menu has specials, so you can always try something new if you'd like. Don't be deterred by the crowds. The service here is speedy, so you won't go hungry for too long! I'll definitely be back. ”
“ Cone here if you are super hungry. You won't leave hungry that's for sure. We got chicken and waffles and breakfast combo. Chicken was fried to perfection. So crispy and so juicy! It's also so nice that they serve complimentary biscuits and hush puppies. Their biscuits are so soft and fluffy. Yummm ”

“ A very casual breakfast & lunch spot! The place was big and bright with a ton of indoor seating (there was a small outdoor area too). I kept it simple with one giant hot cake and it came with a biscuit and hushpuppies. The pancake is true as advertised - it was huge! I could not finish the full thing. Hushpuppies were good too, but the biscuit was the true star of my meal. Our server was friendly! The place was completely packed, but food still came out quickly. ”
“ This was what I think of when I want breakfast!! I low key do really enjoy Waffle House... BUT if you need the upgrade this is it!! The sampler gets you the whole she-bang!! The meats were delish, the spiced apples brought me back to my Childhood, don't skip the gravy and the homemade biscuits, andddd those pancakes hit the spot! I will say the grits didn't do too much for me lol buttttt that's ok I still enjoyed them. Looking forward to coming back again! I'm gonna definitely need to wear my overalls next time! Haha. ”
